Treatment Plant Simulator Workshop
CWEA Members are invited to a 1-Day workshop. As the current utility workforce ages, new training techniques are needed as we transition to the next generation of professionals. This workshop will cover the fundamental concepts of operating an activated sludge plant to achieve nutrient removal via a combination of lecture material and hands-on use of a process simulator.

Improve their ability to troubleshoot nutrient removal treatment processes.
Use a simulator to experiment with various process control concepts to improve plant performance.

Paul Dombrowski has more than 30 years of professional experience and is currently the Chief Technologist with Woodard & Curran. He has led the evaluation and design of numerous plant upgrades that focus on nutrient removal. Paul has contributed to numerous journal articles and textbooks including many recent WEF Manuals of Practice. In recognition to his contributions to wastewater design and operations, Paul has received the NEWEA Peloquin Award, the EPA Region 1 Trainer Award, the WEF Morgan Operational Solutions Medal and has been recognized as a WEF Fellow. He is a professional engineer and certified wastewater operator.
Workshop attendance includes hands-on use of treatment plant simulator software and seating is limited to 30. Enroll quickly before the workshop is sold out!
