One Water LA 2040 Plan Trigger-Based Implementation Strategy for Future Integration
The One Water LA 2040 Plan is a holistic and collaborative approach to consider all of the City of Los Angeles’s water resources from surface water, groundwater, potable water, wastewater, recycled water, dry-weather runoff, and stormwater as “One Water.” The Plan identifies multi-departmental and multi-agency integration opportunities to manage water in a more efficient, cost effective, and sustainable manner.
Recommendations in the Plan provide for uncertainty into future changing conditions, using a trigger-based implementation strategy, to integrate water projects, programs, and policies within the City towards the year 2040 and beyond.
