An overview of all things that a Wastewater Collection System Manager should be doing, in order to successfully:

  • Manage all Existing Risks
  • Keep the Sewage in the Pipes
  • Prevent Accidents
  • Minimize Claims

If you manage a Collection System, you know there are many things that can go wrong, cause you a lot of grief, cost the agency a lot of money, possibly taking away valuable and much needed resources, and maybe even costing your job.

To prevent those things from happening, you need to have the right strategies and programs in place. But good strategies and programs will not be implemented effectively if you do not have staff that have been properly trained and assessed.

How will you be able to tell that you are doing a good job, without measuring the results of your efforts. Your measurements should include both leading and lagging indicators. Learn how to use these indicators to help ensure reliable operation of your sanitary sewer collection system.

Workshop Take Away

Participants will return to their agency with the knowledge of how to measure leading and lagging indicators and have learned how to use these indicators to help ensure reliable operation of their sanitary sewer collection system.
