2019 Women in Water ≈ Exploring Career Pathways
Cuyamaca College’s new Center for Water Studies is working with the National Science Foundation to prepare women for greater participation and job advancement in water and wastewater industries. Our goal is to get women of all ages in the pipeline, then support their successful transitioning into full time employment in the water and wastewater industry.
Part of our effort includes designing a one-day event that provides high school students, transitioning military, career changers and incumbent employees in water with a greater understanding about the importance of water and its impact on the environment, our economy and our communities’ ability to survive and thrive. We aim to broaden knowledge about the water and wastewater industry sectors and career pathways and opportunities that are available regionally. That one-day event is the Women in Water~Exploring Career Pathways Symposium.
Join us on January 17 and we’ll introduce you to women blazing career pathways in the water industry.
