BAYWORK Maintenance and Asset Management Workshop
Practical Approaches to Applying Asset Management Principles to Maintenance and Renovation of Water/Wastewater Infrastructure
Although asset management principles are correctly applied by water/wastewater utilities to planning for major infrastructure replacement projects, a daily challenge of water/wastewater utilities is how to allocate resources and plan for ongoing maintenance and renovation of existing facilities. The purpose of this workshop will be to share approaches that San Francisco Bay Area water/wastewater utilities have developed for cost-effective renovation and repair of physical assets. This will include methods that are practical and affordable by small utilities as well as larger ones, and that can be applied to all aspects of water/wastewater infrastructure: water storage, transmission, treatment and distribution, as well as wastewater collection, treatment, and discharge.
This workshop will be held in Napa on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. The workshop will be divided into sessions which will include a combination of powerpoint presentations and discussion. View info on presentations here.
Registration and a continental breakfast will be from 8:00-8:30 a.m. The workshop will run from 8:30a.m.-2 p.m. with lunch included.
